I am Adam Zebrowski the Connecticut Tigers Radio Broadcaster. I take care of all gameday media such as; press releases, articles for the website, game notes, autograph sessions, and stat sacks for the coaching staff, and etc. I was an intern in 2012 and was asked to come back as the voice of the CT Tigers for the 2013 Season. It’s a dream come true and it is only the beginning.
In last night’s ball game the Lowell Spinners snuck a win past the CT Tigers 1-0. There was a pitcher’s duel through the first five innings. Spinners RHP Sergio Gomez was virtually unhittable as he pitched five scoreless innings while allowing one hit and striking out eight batters. Tigers LHP Alex Phillips did his part, pitching 4.2 innings while allowing no runs on three hits. After being scoreless through eight innings the Spinners went on to score the only run of the game. Following a walk to LF Kendrick Perkins, RHP Brett Huber found himself in a jam. Huber struck out the next batter 1B Nick Moore, but on the strike out Perkins reached second following a stolen base. Perkins came around to score in the following at bat after Tigers 2B Dominic Ficociello threw wide right to the first base bag and allowed RF Williams Jerez to reach second on the error. The Tigers threatened in ninth after RF Casey Coffman led off the bottom of the inning with a single. 1B Patrick Leyland laid a sacrifice bunt down that allowed Coffman to reach second. Spinners winning pitcher RHP Jonathan Aro settled down to retire DH Dustin McAlpine and Ficociello on strikeouts to end the game.
