Fun Patrol: August 13th Update

On Tuesday, C.T. appeared at the Crystal Mall in Waterford for a Simon Kidgits® Club event.

C.T. played Kinect,

Hungry Hungry Hippos,

posed for photos,

and signed autographs.

Thursday was the 2nd installment of the “Lunch with a Tiger” series.

Tigers’ players Zachary Maggard and Colin Kaline visited Buddy’s Dugout for “Lunch with a Tiger”.

C.T. also appeared.

The remainder of the “Lunch with a Tiger” schedule:

Tails from the Road: Auburn and Lowell

The Tigers are in the midst of a 5 game roadtrip to Auburn and Lowell.

The Doubledays play at Falcon Park.

Falcon Park was built in 1995 and has a capacity of 2,800.

Auburn is the New York-Penn League affliate of the Washington Nationals.

Andrew Graham’s club then visited Lowell, a quick drive up 395 (and 290), for 2 games.

The Spinners, a Stedler Division rival, play at LeLacheur Park, located on the campus of UMass-Lowell.

The Tigers and Spinners continue their series with 2 games at Dodd Stadium Sunday and Monday.

Tomorrow, it is C.T.’s Birthday Party and Sunday Funday.

Monday night, Hall of Famer Al Kaline will visit Dodd Stadium.

Kaline will sign autographs before the game and throw out the ceremonial first pitch to his grandson, Tigers’ infielder Colin Kaline.

Fun Patrol Update – 8/4/11

While the team is on the road, the Tigers’ Fun Patrol has been out in the community.

On Tuesday night, C.T. visited Shop Rite Plaza in Norwich, as part of National Night Out.

On Wednesday, staff visited Mohegan Sun for “Wild Wednesday“.

The Tigers’ next homestand begins on Sunday and runs until Thursday.

Fun Patrol Update – 7/25/11

The Tigers’ Fun Patrol has been out in the community this weekend.

On Friday morning, Pedro Perez visited Natchaug Hospital in Norwich.

Perez interacted with the kids, answering questions and signing autographs.

Saturday afternoon, the interns visited Lowe’s in Lisbon.

Customers took their turn swinging on the HR Derby inflatable for a chance to win Tigers’ tickets and/or merchandise.

C.T. also was in attendance.

The Tigers’ complete their homestand today at 12:05 PM with a “Camp Day” game against Williamsport.

Fun Patrol Update – 7/19/11

While the team is on the road, the Tigers’ Fun Patrol has been out in the community.

On Wednesday, the interns were scattered throughout the region.

Staff visited Misquamicut for the Tom McCoy Family Fun Run Series,

and Mohegan Sun for “Wild Wednesday“.

At “Wild Wednesday”, local band Llama Tsunami competed battle of the bands contest.  Nate, an intern for the Tigers, is on the drums.

Yesterday, staff went to “the Ocean State” for Misquamicut Monday Night Jams.

Fun Patrol Update – 7/12/11

The Tigers’ Fun Patrol was out in full force the past few days.

Wednesday, Tater visited downtown Norwich for Rock the Docks.

Friday morning, members of the Tigers front office cleaned a parking lot in advance for the fireworks show that weekend.

Saturday, numerous staffers went to New London for Sailfest.  Pocket schedules and hot dog coupons were handed out, as C.T. interacted with his fans.

Summer Reading Pizza Party

Monday night members of the Tigers’ “Fun Patrol” visited Andover Public Library for a pizza party.

The library kicked off its “Carry Out a Good Book” Summer Reading program that night.
CT the Tiger and Rocky the Rockcat attended the party,

posing for pictures,

and signing autographs.

The Tigers’ began their 5 game homestand last night with a 8-7 setback to Vermont.
