Homestand Recap: July 30 – August 1

Photos from the recent 3 game homestand between the Batavia Muckdogs and Tigers:

Lowe’s sponsored a Build and Grow Clinic on the concourse during the game.

Another Build and Grow Clinic is scheduled for Saturday August 27th.

 Tyler Collinshit 2 HR’s, including the walkoff home run in the 12th inning, on Saturday night.

First Baseman Aaron Westlake, the Tigers’ 3rd round pick this June, made his debut with the Tigers.

The Pizza Girl made her final appearance at Dodd Stadium this season during the homestand.

As with every Sunday home game, children could run the bases, presented by Ben and Jerrys, and play catch in the outfield, sponsored by Dick’s Sporting Goods after the game.

The Tigers’ next home game is Sunday against Lowell.

Tigers vs. Brooklyn

The Tigers finished their 3 game set with the Brooklyn Cyclones Monday night.

Connecticut took the final 2 games of the series.

Kids were able to get Amber Alert Photo ID cards made on the concourse.

On a hot Sunday afternoon at Dodd Stadium,

Jason King, who hit a Home Run, was named Player of the Game.

Following the game, children ran the bases and had a catch on the field.

The Hole in the Wall Bar remains a popular option for fans.

Shortstop Eugenio Suarez went 4-4 on Monday night.

Relief Pitcher Daniel Bennett picked up 2 saves this series, bringing his season total to 5.

 

The Tigers are in the midst of a 8-game, 3 city road trip.  The team returns home Thursday July 21st.

Road Trip to Lowell and Staten Island

Tonight, the Tigers finish up a 5- game road trip to Lowell and Staten Island.

The Spinners play at LeLacheur Park.

Lowell is the host of the 2011 New York-Penn League All Star game.

The stadium is located on the UMass-Lowell campus.

In between games of the doubleheader on Tuesday, the first ever “Human Home Run” was a hit at LeLacheur Park, as David Smith, Sr. flew over the outfield wall out of a cannon from the outfield much to the delight of the LeLacheur Park faithful! The Human Home Run a Hit! The Tigers then traveled to Staten Island.

Richmond County Bank Ballpark gives fans a great view of the Manhattan Skyline.

The Tigers return home tomorrow for a 3-game set against the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Mets’ New York-Penn League affiliate.
